Unigine heaven benchmark low min fps12/6/2023 ![]() So, those are the three main peculiar things that I've noticed so far with my new PC. I know it seems odd to think about the rgb of the GPU when it seems to have other problems atm, but would the failure of the rgb on the card be another symptom of its problems? I thought that it might have just been a problem with AURA. GPU has no problem reaching near 100% load and ~2000MHz Clock speedsĬPU usually report 4600 MHz clock speeds and reaches a max ~65 % load when playing HZD after 30min.ĮDIT: Also, the RGB for the TUF RTX 3080 has not lit up at all ever since the PC arrived. GPU load temp: 37-41C (I have never seen it go above 42C - even after 3 hours straight of HZD at aforementioned settings) - reviewer numbers see ~63C load temp GPU Idle temp: 23-26C - reviewer numbers see ~42C idle temp Seen on NZXT CAM, CPU-Z, GPU-Z, ASUS GPU TweakII One more peculiar thing that I have noticed with this build is that its recorded temperatures are quite low, and I'm not sure if it's a problem or not. My numbers: (in-game benchmark) AVG FPS: 107 FPS in-game performance (anecdotal recording): 80-90 FPSĮDIT: comparing game benchmarks performance not the best for determining performance (i.e., different setups = different scores). My numbers (in-game benchmark): AVG FPS: 268 (Extra: CPU load: 51% GPU load: 97%) The main two games that I've played so far have been Horizon Zero Dawn and R6:Siege (2560x1440P Highest settings) GPU: ASUS TUF RTX 3080 (performance on par, if not better than RTX 3080 FE) ![]() ![]() Since my knowledge about computers is very limited, I am not sure how to approach this potential problem (if there is one), and I was hoping someone here could help me out. TLDR, FPS observed is anywhere from 16-25% lower than the numbers that have been posted by reviewer benchmarks. I recently got my first desktop via NZXT BLD on Friday(I wish I had time to have actually built my own) and after two days of gaming with it, I noticed a few peculiar things with its performance. ![]()

Twisted pasta shapes12/6/2023 ![]() The ancient Romans probably also ate a dish similar to lasagna with layers of sauce and cheese. The first version of Italian pasta probably looked a lot like lasagne because, as Segan points out, you can imagine how easy it would have been to roll out. It had a longer shelf life, and it could be sold longer if it was dried.” The first pasta factories were down there. The south was generally poorer, so they couldn’t afford the egg. “Generally in the north, pasta is made fresh,” explains Segan. To understand how so many types of pasta emerged, you first have to understand the climate, geography, and economics of Italy. So each ‘region’ had their different styles.” “They were thinking of themselves as 20 different countries. “In Italy there were 20 different regions, but they weren’t unified ,” Segan explains. The latter is believable considering each shape and style is deeply entrenched in the region it’s made. Some sources put the number around 350 others say it’s closer to an astonishing 600, with new ones being invented all the time. Today, there is some debate surrounding exactly how many types of pasta exist in Italy. They would press your family seal, or your coat of arms, or initials into the little circle of pasta.” How many types of pasta are there? “Then, in the Middle Ages, they would take a cookie cutter and make little circles. ![]() “The ancient Romans ate pasta similar to pappardelle with beans,” Francine Segan, a food historian who specializes in documenting the evolution of Italian food, tells me. No matter how noodles arrived in Mediterranean countries, there’s no question that the Italians were making, and perfecting, pasta as far back as 800 CE - at least 500 years before Marco Polo left China - with a set of simple, inexpensive ingredients: flour and water (and an egg for most fresh pastas), the same tried and true ingredients that are used today. ![]()

Recent plane crashes in greece12/6/2023 ![]() ![]() The Rhodes fire roared down mountain slopes, burning homes and cars and leaving livestock dead on the roadside as they tried to escape.Īuthorities said no serious injuries were reported, but hospitals and health volunteers provided first aid to tourists and others, mostly for the effects of heat and dehydration.įirefighters also confronted blazes Monday in southern Italy, where people have sweltered through weeks of temperatures in the high 30s Celsius (over 100 F) and mid-40s Celsius (113 F and up.)Ī wind-fed brush fire burned near Palermo in Sicily, as well as several other blazes on the Mediterranean island, including near the seaside tourist resort of Cefalu. In Greece, an average of 50 new wildfires have broken out daily for the past 12 days, according to government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis. Mitsotakis also highlighted the threat from climate change, which he said “will make its presence ever more felt with greater natural disasters throughout the Mediterranean region.” Near the seaside resort of Lindos, AP reporters saw hotel employees and guests, joined by local residents and firefighters, use fire extinguishers, towels and buckets of pool water to put out a small brush fire that broke out in the area.Įvacuations were also ordered overnight on the western island of Corfu, where more than 2,000 people were moved to safety by land and sea, as well as on the island of Evia and in a mountainous area in the southern Peloponnese region.Įuropean Commission President Ursula von der Leyen tweeted that she contacted the prime minister late Sunday to offer additional assistance as Greece "is confronted with devastating forest fires and a heavy heat wave due to climate change.”Īddressing parliament. “It didn’t matter if you had children, adults were fighting to get on next,” he said. “You could see an orange glow in the sky and it got more and more, big balls of fire going into the sky," Murison said, describing chaotic scenes as evacuees crowded to board small boats arriving to take them away. The family reached a nearby beach, where they waited - in the dark due to a power blackout - with thousands of others to be evacuated by bus or boat. It was about 3 kilometers (nearly 2 miles) before we got out from underneath the ash cloud.” “We all just took our cases and started walking. Our hotel had capacity for 1,200 (people), but there was just one coach waiting,” he said. Ian Murison, a businessman from London on vacation in southern Rhodes with his wife and 12-year-old son, described his family’s ordeal as they tried to escape the fires on Saturday. Temperatures reached the low 40s Celsius (above 104 degrees Fahrenheit) in parts of the Greek mainland Monday, a day after soaring as high as 45 degrees (113 degrees Fahrenheit). Help continued to arrive from the European Union and elsewhere, with firefighting planes from neighboring Turkey joining the effort on Rhodes, where 10 water-dropping planes and 10 helicopters buzzed over flames up to 5 meters (16 feet) tall despite low visibility. “Over the coming days and weeks, we must remain on constant alert.” “We are at war -– completely focused on the fires,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said during a debate in parliament. It was the country's biggest evacuation effort in recent years. The latest evacuations were ordered in south Rhodes after 19,000 people, mostly tourists, were moved in buses and boats over the weekend out of the path of the fire that reached several coastal areas from nearby mountains. RHODES, Greece (AP) - A week-old wildfire on the Greek resort island of Rhodes tore past defenses Monday, forcing more evacuations as strong winds and successive heat waves that left scrubland and forests tinder-dry fueled three major fires raging elsewhere in Greece. The latest evacuations orders were issued on the islands of Corfu and Evia, while a blaze on the island of Rhodes continued to move inland, torching mountainous forest areas, including part of a nature reserve The crash occurred on the island of Evia, and was aired in a state television broadcast that showed the low-flying aircraft disappearing into a canyon before a fireball was seen moments later.Ī third successive heat wave in Greece has pushed temperatures back above 40 C (104 F) across parts of the country Tuesday following more nighttime evacuations from fires that have raged out of control for days. RHODES, Greece (AP) - A firefighting plane has crashed in southern Greece as authorities battled fires across the country amid a return of heat wave temperatures. ![]()

Mavis beacon learn to type12/5/2023 ![]() If you're looking for something more plain, then is simple and free, but we think your kids will likely be bored by it. This is very much the app for games and extras to keep kids entertained. With enticing names like Mickey Mouse and the Pyramid of Peril, Gopher Mania, and Run Pluto Run, your child will want to work on their typing skills. ![]() The existing games seem fun and entertaining - with familiar characters and vivid colors, your child will be immersed in the world of Typelandia very quickly. ![]() If you really think about it, the entire program is really one ongoing game, but for young learners, having a little more respite from the lessons and courses may be needed. While there’s a hefty amount of lessons to go through, Mickey’s Typing Adventure unfortunately has a scant amount of games - only seven. It’s a fun and easy way to teach typing to children who are just learning to use a computer. The family Disney characters and the entertaining theme (your child will play the hero who will rescue Mickey Mouse and his friends from an enchantment in the game’s world, Typelandia) alone make it a worthwhile investment. Overall, many parents and instructors are pleased with the product. Because each student’s progress is unique, we like that the program comes with the ability to adjust the goal WPM (words-per-minute). The challenges are used to measure speed and accuracy, and results are immediately available to help the student improve in the next lesson. There are also kids and teens who learn how to type on a phone keyboard. Enjoy a unique and comprehensive program that will help you become a better typist in just 2 weeks - guaranteed Increase speed and accuracy through detailed assessments, customized lessons and skill-building games. Many people learn how to type on the computers they use at home. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing offers an unbeatable learning experience. While it wasnt that long ago that many schools offered typing classes, few schools still do. Lessons are paired with challenges that help put the lessons to the test. Mavis Beacon Free is a helpful app that helps you learn how to type and become more efficient. ![]() Although the product indicates that the lessons are appropriate for children aged 7 to 12, we found that older children or those with more advanced skills may not be as enthralled with it as the younger ones, and will probably run through the program quite quickly. There are also lessons dedicated to different rows on a keyboard. Mickey’s Typing Adventure includes 160 structured lessons that cover different areas of the keyboard, such as a numeric keypad course. The program starts with appropriate hand placement and home-row memorization. Mickey’s Typing Adventure shines in helping young students develop good typing habits that will help them become stellar typists. Compatible with: Windows, Mac, PC download ![]()

Tik tik boom film12/5/2023 ![]() He’s accompanied by two singers (Vanessa Hudgens and Joshua Henry) and a band. The anchor of the action is the show itself, which Jonathan (the character played by Garfield, as distinguished from the real-life Larson) is performing, onstage, at the piano, in front of an audience-but not solo. Working with a script by Steven Levenson, Miranda endows the movie with a casually elaborate structure. His mere sufficiency in that department is the wavering note to which the entire movie is tuned and which, for all its many virtues, makes the film slip away from its emotional center. But, unfortunately, Garfield isn’t a musical force of nature or anything close. Boom!,” Andrew Garfield plays the singer-songwriter he gamely sings and energetically gambols and uninhibitedly emotes and, in general, holds the screen with fervent charm, as movie stars do. In Lin-Manuel Miranda’s film of Larson’s quasi-autobiographical solo show “Tick, Tick. Streaming on Netflix Nov 19.The late Jonathan Larson was more than a great lyricist and composer he was also a force of nature in musical performance. We know he’ll find success, but he can’t be sure, and it’s in the push and pull of art and commerce that Manuel finds his drama – and Larson eventually finds his feet. Garfield’s Larson may be living La Vie Bohème, but he’s hungry for success, recognition and yes, a better living space.Īrtistic integrity matters enormously to him, but he is tempted by a more conventional life – and that’s the dilemma that shapes his journey. With its cold, leaking apartments and freezing New York winter winds, there’s no sense of failure being romanticised. The songs are catchy, but there are few big choreographed numbers, little use of fantasy and not a spangled costume in sight.Īpart from one scene, where seemingly every Broadway star ever turns up to sing about brunch, this is a relatively grounded musical. But while he opens out the canvas, Miranda doesn’t get bombastic about it. Opening shots from Rent give a sense of context to his work and endow him with a sense of destiny that the show, initially written as a largely one-man performance piece, lacked at the time. It’s a lot of passion and restless, sometimes misdirected energy to channel through this film, but Miranda marshalls it effectively, communicating Larson’s talent and drive without obscuring the fact that he could, sometimes, be a bit wearisome about it. Previously struggling artists are giving up their dreams for secure jobs and others face AIDS diagnoses, at the height of that epidemic. He’s trying to write one final song for the piece (as recommended by Bradley Whitford’s Stephen Sondheim, a mentor to the young Larson), negotiate relationship changes with his dancer girlfriend Susan (Alexandra Shipp) and somehow raise the money to pay for the workshop’s performers. We join him in the week before its first ‘workshop’ performance, as he deals with the pressure of this eight year, make-or-break project nearing its climax. For Larson, time really was running out – and that’s a sense that Hamilton author, and now debutant movie director, Lin-Manuel Miranda captures expertly.Īn endlessly moving, entirely convincing Andrew Garfield plays Larson, working in a diner by day and slaving over his sci-fi musical Superbia by night. In its defence, author and protagonist Jonathan Larson tragically died at just 35, immediately prior to the premiere of his best-known work, Rent, and soon after writing this semi-autobiographical piece. Trigger warning for everyone born before 1990: This musical contains repeated discussion of the horrors of turning 30 which may cause distress or embarrassment. ![]()

Small anvil uses12/5/2023 ![]() ![]() However, sumithrin did not mimic estradiol (a natural estrogen) in three different tests in another study. This suggests that sumithrin may interfere with endocrine system function in animals. When added to cells growing in plastic dishes in a laboratory, high concentrations of sumithrin acted like an estrogen (a class of naturally occurring hormones). This area of research is the subject of intense scientific inquiry. Some chemicals that act like the hormone estrogen (for example, DES) have been reported to cause long-term effects in mice born to mothers who ingested low levels during pregnancy. ![]() Our knowledge of the relationship between exposure and endocrine system effects is still developing. The endocrine system consists of glands that produce hormones that act together to guide development, growth, reproduction and behavior, and to maintain normal organ function. "Endocrine disruptors" are chemicals that interfere with endocrine system function. For these reasons, individuals should consider taking steps to minimize their exposure to Anvil if it is applied to control mosquitoes (see question # 10). It is unlikely that adverse health effects will occur as a result of this use for most people, but some individuals may experience health effects. There are no studies examin-ing whether the use of Anvil to control mosquitoes has caused any long-term health effects in humans.Īnvil is applied at very low concentrations to control mosquitoes. Vomiting or central nervous system depression may occur if very high levels of petroleum solvents are ingested. Short-term exposure to high levels of petroleum solvents can cause irritation of the eye, skin, nose, throat or lung. Short-term exposures to very high levels of pyrethroid pesticides similar to sumithrin can affect the nervous system, causing such effects as loss of coordination, tremors or tingling and numbness in areas of skin contact. ![]() Is the spraying of Anvil harmful to my health or my family's health? In addition, a person's age, sex, genetic makeup, life style and/or general health characteristics can affect his or her likelihood of experiencing adverse health effects as a result of exposure to pesticides. The likelihood of experiencing adverse health effects from exposure to any pesticide, including Anvil, depends primarily on the amount of pesticide that a person con-tacts and the amount of time the person is in contact with that pesticide. Anvil may be applied as is or may be diluted with other petroleum-based products, such as mineral oil, before application.īecause pesticide products are inherently toxic, no exposure is risk free. ![]() Petroleum solvents make up most of the Anvil used for mosquito control. Petroleum solvents are similar to paint thinner or kerosene. These active ingredients are dissolved in a petroleum solvent.
